Geoff Still Gearing Up at 76 |

The oldest entrant to date in Liverpool Triathlon is Geoff Gearing, 76, although he now lives in Exeter, he has strong associations with the Northwest as he was the manager of Deeside Leisure Centre when it opened in 1970. His age contrasts with Oliver Fields, 14, from Liverpool the youngest competitor, if Oliver matches Geoff's longevity then he will still be racing in 2072!

Hollyoaks Actors Tri Challenge |

Hollyoaks actors John Pickard and Glen Wallace joined the recent Liverpool Triathlon Novice Training Day held at the Wavertree Aquatics Centre, as they prepare to take part in the Liverpool Triathlon on 27th June. It will be John's first triathlon as one of the sporting challenges he has undertaken for his nominated charity.

Lord Mayors Join Forces for Team Challenge |

Liverpool Triathlon Brings Desert Racer Home
Julie Hall, is head of the Dubai Tri Club. She tells us why she is making a special trip home for the Liverpool Triathlon on June 21st 2009.
It was more than eight years ago that Wirral-born Julie Hall took part in her first triathlon. “I was doing spinning classes and my coach said I should give a triathlon a go. After training for a few weeks, I took part in an Olympic distance and came second,” she says, recalling the moment she decided the sport was for her.

Liverpool will host its first mass participation triathlon on Sunday 21st June 2009
LIVERPOOL’s world famous waterfront is to be the stunning location for a high-profile triathlon this summer. Around a thousand people are expected to take part in the inaugural event, which will be based at Liverpool Arena and Convention Centre at Kings Waterfront and use the city’s most famous locations as the route for the swimming, cycling and running events.
